SBF News: fra Rosario Pierri elected new Dean of the Faculty of Biblical Sciences and Archaeology (SBF)

As of the 12th of June 2017 the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum of Jerusalem (Faculty of Biblical Sciences and Archaeology of the Pontifical "Antonianum" University, Rome) has a new Director: Prof. fra Rosario Pierri, an Italian friar, professor of Biblical Greek and Critical textus of the New Testament. Fra Pierri was born in 1960 in Baronissi, Salerno, Italy and became a franciscan friar in the Province of the Immaculate Conception in 1986, he lives in Jerusalem since 1992.
Having graduated with a Licentiate in Biblical Theology (SBF) in 1995, he continued studying Greek and the classical languages at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy.
Fra Rosario Pierri, vice-Dean, succeeds Fr. Massimo Pazzini and will take office for a period of three years.
